Komaji (komaji.alzy.kr) is a free browser game run by alzy (alzy.kr). This page explains, as briefly as we can, what information Komaji keeps, what it is used for, and when it is deleted.

1. Who runs Komaji

Komaji is run by alzy (alzy.kr), an individual developer. For privacy questions, email the address under “Contact” below.

2. What we keep and why

Komaji stores only two kinds of records on its server.

  • Daily leaderboard: when you submit a score, your nickname (up to 12 characters), the score, the character you played, the day you played and the time you submitted. You can submit without signing in.
  • Album records: when you clear a stage while signed in, the date, record type, score, best combo, card finish and your account identifier.

If you are signed in when you submit, we also store your alzy account identifier (a random ID). In that case the leaderboard shows the nickname from your alzy account profile, not the name you typed.

We use them only to show the leaderboard and work out ranks, to show you your own album, and to prevent abuse such as rapid repeat submissions. Komaji does not store your email address or real name as part of its own data.

3. What is public

  • Leaderboard nicknames, scores and characters are visible to anyone as that day’s ranking. Please do not use your real name or contact details as a nickname.
  • Album records are visible only to you.

4. Playing without signing in

Signing in is optional. Unless you submit a score to the leaderboard, nothing about your play is sent to Komaji’s server (apart from the analytics described under “Cookies and storage”).

The last nickname you typed and a temporary copy of album records stay only in your browser (localStorage). Clearing your browser’s site data removes them.

5. How long we keep it, and deletion

  • Leaderboard and album records have no fixed retention period. They are kept while the service runs.
  • If you delete your alzy account, your album records are deleted automatically along with it.
  • Leaderboard records are only unlinked from your account when it is deleted; the nickname and score stay on the leaderboard.
  • There is no in-game way to delete records. To have them deleted, email us under “Contact” with the date, nickname and score you submitted, and we will remove them after checking.

6. Service providers

Komaji relies on the following services to run.

  • Supabase — database and sign-in (authentication)
  • Vercel — website hosting
  • Google — analytics (Google Analytics, only if you agree). If you sign in to alzy with a Google account, Google also handles that sign-in.

We do not pass your information to third parties for any other purpose.

7. Cookies and storage

  • Sign-in session cookie (Supabase): used only while you are signed in to alzy. It is shared across alzy.kr services, so signing in on one of them also signs you in on Komaji.
  • Language cookie (alzy_lang): remembers the language you chose, for one year, shared across alzy.kr services.
  • Consent cookie (alzy_consent): remembers for one year whether you agreed to analytics. It is shared across alzy.kr services, so you are asked only once. If you delete it, we will ask again on your next visit.
  • Google Analytics cookies (such as _ga): set only if you choose “Accept” on the banner shown on your first visit. They tell us which pages are viewed and how often, are used only to improve the game, and are never used for advertising.

To withdraw consent, delete the alzy_consent cookie in your browser (you will be asked again next time). You can also block Google Analytics entirely with the add-on below.
